The extensive clampdown and closure of media inside Iran has created a serious need and thirst for people to search for any accessible outside news sources.

Simay-e Azadi Television was established to respond to this demand shared by Iranians both inside and outside the country. Its operations rely on the help of hundreds of volunteers around the world, mostly intellectuals, writers, artists, journalists, and activists trying to act as a bridge and conduit for awareness. In this sense, it is able to communicate the true voice of Iranians to the outside world as well.
